First Auto-Cross Event

I couldn't wait to get the 2 out to the track for Auto-crossing once I bought her. Unfortunately, she wasn't completely prepared for it; running on stock tires and all. I was amazed how good she actually handled though. And it being a nice experience for me, I feel we did great :] So, I joined the Renegade Miata Club and I plan to attend ALOT more this coming year. Of course, after buying the right type of shoes for her ;]

Racing Beat Exhaust

As most of the 2 owners know, this car doesn't give off much sound! That is one thing I wanted to change from the beginning. I ended up ordering the Racing Beat Power Pulse Muffler because of how it doesn't come off very loud but gives it a nice hum!

Corksport Short Ram Intake

Was very excited for this one, my first power upgrade!  My boyfriend surprised me with this one.  Again thanks to the guys at Corksport for a great product.  It's Corksports Short Ram Intake, and it was a breeze to install.

Thoughts on it....basically I am extremely happy with the upgrade, the grunt it added to the engine makes me wicked giggly, and as far as power, its there you can notice it.  I can be cruising to a red light and now when it turns green and I gas it, it actually goes now.  The intake filled a big emptiness in the midrange power.  Also, quick shift changes actually have some torque too instead of a huge hesitation.

There isn't a lot of parts out there for the 2 but Corksport is definitely working hard at it.
Looking forward to trying out more of Corksport's Upgrades.

Photoshoot Time!

A couple weeks ago, me and my boyfriend drove to Josh's(Altspace) down in the Cape to do a photo-shoot. It turned out to be a beautiful day and we got some great pictures. I just wanted to share some of them with all you.

15x7 Kosei K1's Babyyyy :-)

After contemplating on what size wheels I wanted to get, I ended up with 15's to keep weight of the car down. Someone had 6 of the Kosei K1's for sale in silver for only $300. WHAT A STEAL! I couldn't turn them away.  They are 15x7 with a nice aggressive +27 offset. After thinking long and hard, I decided that I wanted them in a semi-gloss black. Thanks to my boyfriend who researched and found a place nearby that could powdercoat them, we got them done in no time.  Big thanks to Robert and Joseph at Coating Application Technologies for the great job they did on the wheels!  They came out AMAZING! In the meanwhile, I had ordered Pink G2 Brake caliper paint and pink lug nuts for the final touches to the wheels.  For now I am using the stock tires on them until I decide on a nice sticky tire for a good price. yes the stock tires are not sticky at all and are way too thin :-(  but I will fix that issue soon!

H&R Springs & Corksport Rear Torsion Bar

Well, the first thing that came to my head when I pulled in and parked the 2 in the driveway after buying it was, "Damn, this car will look so much better lowered."  Knowing that I would get some wheels very soon I wanted to close that ugly gap first.  My boyfriend talked to the guys at Corksport for some H&R Springs, and the guys there worked out a deal for the springs and Corksport's Rear Torsion Bar.

OMG what an improvement in handling.  The car not only looked much better but the handling got much tighter.  The ride got stiffer but not so much that would make for an uncomfortable ride.

As for the Torsion bar it improved the roll a lot, also the turn in response of the car improved greatly along with less under steer.  Should make for some fun on the autox track :-)

Thanks to the guys at Corksport for a great product at an even better price!

Ain't nothing like a Stubby...

The first thing I bought for the 2 was an O-series Pink stubby antenna. I honestly didn't realize the huge stock one for a couple days but then when I did, it had to go. I ordered it off of Carccessory for only $10 + shipping. It works for the most part, but I do get some static every now and then...

When I was searching for the antenna, I came across shift knobs. As you can see I'm going with the PINK accents so I ordered a pink one off of this EBAY listing. Fits great and it feels a lot better than the stock shift knob. My boyfriend had ordered a shift boot for his RX-8 from Redline Goods so I decided to also. I got Black leather with a Pink stitching. Let me know what you think :-)

Let's talk about MODS, MODS, MODS!

These are the mods listed below that I feel I need to add to the Mazda 2 :)

Wheels & Tires: Wanting to stick to a 15" wheel to keep the weight down but definitely a wider wheel, either black or a hyper black.. 205 tire is my ideal size for this car.
Tint: I'd really love to get the windows tinted. I think it looks awesome on White cars especially. Something that is also legal too ;)
Suspension: DEFINITELY needs to be lowered. Also, some sway bars and strut bars to improve on body roll and responsiveness.
Exhaust: Got to say the 2 is VERY quiet. I'd really love to add some grunt to it and possibly whatever power I can gain in the underpowered car.
Engine: Plan on getting an intake. Pulleys.  There isn't too much out there for the 2 yet but I will do what I can.
Aero: I would like to get a nice lip kit for the car. I think the OEM bumpers are really nice, just need a little something to add to it.

Brand New Mazda 2 Sport :-)

So here it goes, my first post, on my first blog :-) I bought my Mazda 2 in April and ever since I have been in love. The 2 doesn't give that many options, but it makes for a fun driving experience and great gas mileage. It is also my VERY first manual car. Driving the 2 makes shifting look so easy. ;-) Like I said, I'm in love. Since the first day I saw the 2, I was so ready for the modding to begin. It's a cute little car with such a badass stance lol, after being lowered of course. I would LOVE to get it modded for some shows and get it into some AutoX. Okay, I'm done talking about how much I like it because I can go on.. Here are some pictures of her :)
